Day 1

Your first day in Jeddah is all about exploring the soul of this city—a perfect combo of panoramic seaside beauty and rich heritage. Get set to discover cultural gems, sweeping sea views, and old-age neighborhoods that never cease to reveal the timeless allure of the city.

One of the best places to visit in Jeddah is Al Balad, a UNESCO World Heritage Site dating back to the seventh century. It was formerly a flourishing trading hub due to its location on the Red Sea and closeness to Mecca, receiving pilgrims and businessmen from around the world. This cultural blend beautifully represents its unique architecture, with coral stone homes and decorated wooden balconies.

As you stroll through the winding and stone-paved streets, you'll immediately be transported back to a different era. Many buildings are still standing untouched, with faded exteriors and dense trees enhancing their attractiveness, while others are being carefully renovated.

A significant historical site and cultural center, the Nassif House Museum—built in the late nineteenth century by the former governor of Jeddah—was originally used as a royal residence to welcome honored guests. Later, it was renovated into a public library, with approximately 16,000 books accessible to all. Although the books have since been transferred to another museum, the Nassif House continues to be a fascinating spot. Unwind by the Jeddah Corniche as the sun begins to dip below the horizon. This 30-kilometer coastal stretch along the Red Sea faces west, making it ideal for sunsets. What steals the major spotlight is its Jeddah Promenade, a picturesque beachfront pathway peppered with boutique stores, cafes, and carnival-style activities.

With its bright lights and sparkling blue shoreline, this promenade transforms at night, creating a stunning, almost luminous atmosphere. Easily accessible, there is a free parking space located nearby.

Day 2

Your second day will include a visit to Jeddah’s most phenomenal natural gems and wonders. From geological marvels to spiritual places, this city has more than meets the eye!

Venture out a bit early for a half-day trip to Al Wa'bah Crater, a fantastic natural volcanic wonder situated approximately 330 kilometers from Jeddah. This huge, perfectly round crater is about 250 meters deep and 2 kilometers in diameter. Its actual origin is unknown; however, it is believed that it occurred as a result of a volcanic explosion.

A pathway along the edge allows visitors to explore safely, and shaded huts provide resting areas. What makes the crater unique is its floor, which is covered with white sodium phosphate crystals, creating a strange, almost alien landscape.

Head back to the city to explore one of the best places to visit in Jeddah for family enjoyment at Al Shallal Theme Park, located on the Corniche, open every day from 5 pm. Kids in tow? Don’t fret! With various children's activities such as skating, arcade games, boat rides, adventurous rides, and dining options, you can keep them engaged in the long run.

Another option is Atallah Happy Land Park, set on Corniche Road, with more than 100 rides, bowling, rock climbing, a 6D cinema, ice skating, and a musical fountain.

You can also visit Jungle Theme Park (Mersel Village), close to King Abdul Aziz International Airport, offering an African safari-themed atmosphere with circus acts, a live lion show, and amusement rides.

Cap off your Jeddah trip by blessing your eyes with a view of King Fahad’s Fountain shooting water up to a height of 260 meters (853 feet)! Situated directly south of Jeddah Promenade, King Fahad's Fountain is the tallest in the world. The water show can be seen from many places in central Jeddah, but not directly from the Jeddah Promenade due to surrounding structures.

To experience the best views, visit Al-Hamra Corniche or Middle Corniche Park, which both provide clear views and a peaceful waterfront location.
